Not affiliated with VA, SSA, IRS, CISA or any agency. Not legal or tax advice. This is a concept prototype for interviews. Nothing you type is sent to us or to any government office.

Who’s offering help?
Pick one. Next you’ll check a mock list dated for this prototype. Always confirm on the official site before you decide.
Credential check (mock list)
Enter a name. We look it up in bundled mock data for interviews — not a live government database.
List date: loading…
A match means the name appears on this mock sample. It does not mean the person is honest or that you should hire them. Always use the official search:
Red-flag checklist
Tap each item that matches what you heard. Quotes are from official guidance linked below. This is not a score and not advice.
Benefits never charge to activate
“Social Security beneficiaries do not need to register, apply, or otherwise activate the benefit increase – the COLA is automatic.” SSA OIG scam alert, Oct 21, 2026
“Scammers may tell beneficiaries to pay a fee, instruct them to change their direct deposit, or convince beneficiaries to share personal or financial information.” SSA OIG scam alert, Oct 21, 2026
If someone asks you to pay or share account details to “turn on” a cost-of-living increase, stop and check.
Check who’s really asking
Impostors may use real names or job titles. Official guidance points people to America.gov for agency contact info, and to VA’s accreditation search before sharing claim details.
“They might even use the names or job titles of real government employees, send fake documents that look legitimate” SSA OIG scam alert, Oct 21, 2026
.gov domain check
This checks registration only. Many real local governments do not use .gov. A match does not prove a message is safe. A miss does not prove a site is a scam.
